    about.chef Ahren

....nurtured a passion for food and cooking though a decade in technology sales.  As a mom of two, I have worked hard to maintain a balance between my career and family and I seized this opportunity to offer what I have been doing for my family to yours.  After school I worked as a manager in scratch kitchen restaurants for seven years before moving into technology.  My culinary passions were ignited during my "first career" and I was lucky enough to get fundamental training on the basics of good cooking skills.  I was able to expand on this knowledge during my "second career" by experimenting with new techniques and foods.  Now, I am a certified member of the American Personal & Private Chef Association as well as ServeSafe certified.  The recipes I will offer you will have been "tested and approved" by my friends and family.  I take inspiration from a variety of sources and my process when I find an interesting recipe is to play with it to make it mine by making the steps simple and the ingredients as fresh as possible.
